Yoga with Seniors Teachers Training

This 4-week, 30-hour course certifies yoga teachers and others to lead Yoga with Seniors in group and individual sessions. Each week participants will receive video of a senior-appropriate asana, pranayama and meditation class (one for each week of the course). Additional video recording materials include over three hours of material with Physical Therapists on Range of Motion and skillful adaptations; a video lecture of Yogic Philosophy on the 4 Ashramas of Life, with a focus on Vanaprashtha; presentations challenging fear-based expectations of end of life with life-affirming stories; participants will also receive three plus hours of recorded materials on technical aspects of offering classes to the elder population. One weekly recorded Q & A session is offered as well, in which participants can ask questions beforehand that instructors will address in a recorded session.
