Each training day begins with a prenatal yoga class including asana, pranayama, and meditation with the instructors, which all participants join in. Then participants learn about the stages of development of a pregnant woman and a fetus from an anatomical viewpoint. Afternoons will be spent exploring specific yoga poses, modifications and contraindications, pranayamas (breathing exercises), meditations, and hands-on assists for pregnant bodies. Students will receive teaching practice throughout the course. Each day includes a 1-hour lunch break.

One is educated in common discomforts of pregnancy, types of birth and birthing methods, and how yoga can prepare a woman for an easier birthing experience. This 30-hour Foundational Training provides participants with the knowledge necessary to be able to conduct a class with women in all stages of pregnancy.
