Nourishing the Self Retreat
November 24 – November 26
Reclaim balance in your life by utilizing practices of Yoga and Ayurveda to harmonize with your own innate rhythms and those of the natural world. Join us for this 3-day retreat to rest the five senses, slow down the pace of the body and reconnect with inner bliss. Daily yoga classes include long, gentle, passive, holds focusing on unwinding adhesions in the connective tissue and opening the meridians or nadis (energy channels). Each yoga class is followed with Yoga Nidra, a guided relaxation meditation practiced laying down. Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of inducing deep physical, mental, and emotional relaxation, inviting one to touch in with the anandamaya kosha (the Bliss Body). A few of the benefits of Yoga Nidra are improved immune and digestive function, better sleep and release of old habits, fatigue, worry and stress. Following the yoga sessions there is a daily talk on how to incorporate Ayurvedic practices into your routine to support physical and mental vitality. Ayurvedic topics include dinacharya (daily practices) for health of the 5 senses, ritucharya (methods to live in harmony with the seasons) and ways to support optimal digestion.
