Happy New Year!

Posted by:

Greetings Yogi(ni)s, Friends, Sangha~

Here we are at the start of 2017 offering gratitude for all that has manifested in 2016 and meditating upon a wide open slate before us for the new year. What will you explore and how do you foresee growing in this coming year? 2016 was a busy year at ShivaShakti and we look forward to what will unfold in 2017. Our first group of 500-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training graduates finished their multi-year studies this past year and we are so inspired by their dedication to both sharing with others and cultivating themselves through the path of Yoga! With the start of 2017 we are honored to announce a new Director for the ShivaShakti 200-hour YTT. Kamala Amanda Barrows, who has been an integral part of ShivaShakti faculty/staff for 7 years now, serving as both the Administrative Director and as an instructor in the 200-hour YTT, will also don the hat of 200-hour YTT director. We are so happy to welcome her into this role and know the 200-hour YTT will flourish under her care. Our regular line-up of instructors will remain the same for the 200-hour.

We have a full schedule of professional certification courses for 2017 including our Yoga Alliance ShivaShakti 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, which is filling quickly, our 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and a variety of other certification programs. For new trainings this year, we are launching a Yoga for Seniors Teacher Training led by the wonderful Antonia Small. All our professional trainings are available for Yoga Alliance CEU’s for yoga teachers and our Thai Yoga Bodywork courses are available for NCBTMB CEU’s for massage therapists. While our 4th annual Silence & Simplicity: Yoga & Meditation Retreat is already full, our 2nd annual fall retreat at the incredible Borestone Mountain Audubon Sanctuary, Connecting with the Goddess: A Yoga & Meditation Retreat does still have spots open. We recommend applying soon as it filled early last year. It’s an incredible opportunity to dive deep into sadhana (spiritual practice) in a pristine, wilderness environment. We are excited to share that we will be launching our first online course in 2017. Stay tuned for more details coming soon about the ShivaShakti Yoga Nidra Online Course.

We are excited to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of ShivaShakti School of Yoga & Healing Arts this year! So much has transpired in the 10 years that this school has been in existence and we offer our deepest gratitude to the Divine, to our teachers for their blessings and wisdom, and to our beloved sangha for supporting this school and continuing to show up and participate in the practice and study of Yoga. We will be celebrating ShivaShakti‘s birthday in various ways throughout the year. First off we’d like to show our gratitude to our yoga community by offering a discount on all trainings and retreats this week.
